The kids decided 2am was a excellent bed time, and as I'm a consistent early riser and the weather looked great I popped over to the Motorist in Sherburn again for their cars and coffee type deal. Think was the best one I've been to. Much less supercars and much more super cool stuff.
I didn't think this would be topped for being the coolest thing there, but it was at least equalled. Tatty, used, original Nova Sport with all the bits in the boot fitted. Absolutely immense.
Bit more wandering, more cool stuff, including some Volvo's that will be familiar to RR users.
And then this rolled in. In my opinion the Super Touring era of the BTCC is the greatest circuit racing series that has ever existed in the world. However road going replica's are generally a bit meh, mainly due to wheel size and ride height. This Primera however is more or less as good as it gets, mainly because many of the parts are from the real deal race cars. This weekend was the first time the owner has driven it.
More stuff kept arriving.
Then this pulled in and it was now a 3 way tie in what I thought was the coolest car there. The Autodelta tuned Alfa 147 GTA's have always been a bit of a mythical unicorn car for me, and this one had the supercharger kit fitted too. Apparently it's a bit of a animal, which isn't surprising with 400ft/lbs going through the steering wheels.
And thats it from me. The meet goes on most of the day but I tend to just have a wander round for a hour. There was still stuff coming in as I left.
