My wife saw an article the other day in one of the papers about Britain's rarest production car, can you guess what it is.
Only clue for now is there are only 2 of them!
If you saw the same article keep it to yourself... Sshhhhh!

I haven't seen the article but it depends how we're defining production car? Not some ultra exclusive hand made sports car that they only made a dozen of at the time and cost a small fortune. I'll presume it's a "normal" saloon from the 70s/80s that just never caught on in Britain rusted badly and most were scrapped because the parts supply dried up. My guess is the Lonsdale

I suspect they are going by "How Many Left" in which case its anyone's guess as at least one of my cars doesn't exist at all according to them. There have been loads of 1 of 1 - prototypes and so on - but I recall there being only 2 Dacia Denims left on there. There may be only 2 Talbot Tagoras. ratchart - I think the Lonsdale is extinct long time ago. I have never ever seen a real one

So no to both....
And yeah I'm sure there are loads of cars that exist but aren't regestered. For the purpose of this exam we'll go by DVLA records
So not a 1 off, not super exclusive and not even retro....
The plot thickens!

Give the man a chocolate biscuit! Apparently the rarest cat in the UK right now is the Hyundai Pony. Only 2 in the country! This is of course where 5 people on here say they have one and debunk the whole article! 😂

For the purpose of this exam we'll go by DVLA records "How many left" uses the DVLA info, which you can download yourself from www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/vehicle-licensing-statistics-data-tables add that to the fact the DVLA isn't exactly renown for being accurate with registrations and I always take any of those claims with a large pinch of salt I've looked at the tables in the past regarding MR2's and how you use and filter the tables can drastically skew the results

I think the Lonsdale was the Australian assembled version of the Gallant, may have been imported to avoid limits on import numbers for Japanese cars, these limits were (I think) voluntary.
POSSIBLY!
