Hey Folks! Another week, another weekly chat, your place for stuff that may not warrant a full thread, or stuff that is just going on right now that you want to share. Finally feeling a bit more awake/alive again after Weekender. The weekend RR Meet at Industry and Supply was really really nice, low pressure, nice cars, good weather, great people, everything I needed really (even with the drive there and back). I'll get my photos online in a minute. In fact the photos going online is going to be interesting, because I plan to use the new editor I've got working on the more mobile friendly layout. Which I hope to have in a state for people to test/feedback on later this week. Also looking forward to hearing ChasR and ToolsnTrack 's new podcast episodes and getting ready to share those. Yeah... this looked good in the editor, but when it went to post it only posted the text... so more work needed... anyway thread is now up using the old fashioned method: forum.retro-rides.org/thread/224995/club-retro-rides-industry-supply

Was idly scrolling through marketplace and saw this www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/256059517005406/Car prices are a bit of a hot topic of late but it's nice to see that there are still affordable retros out there, a rare base too to do something cool with

I’ve been a busy boy! I was meant to come to RR at Weedon, but a hangover, MotoFest and Garage sorting all played against me. OK, two of those were self inflicted! So, what have I done last week? I sorted my garage out. The result is now something which looks like this. What else? I did the MotoFest. Not many photos were taken, but it was good to catchup with a lot of known faces there. It was a long day at 13 hours. I decided to hit the sack at 12am, where my friends somehow carried on! I thought they were the older folks! I also got out to the MR2 show at Hatton Country World. A little gutted I missed RR, but I suppose several events came into play. Anyway, picture time.

Yeah... this looked good in the editor, but when it went to post it only posted the text... so more work needed... It'll be worth the effort, as far as I'm concerned anyway! Although tbh I don't have much of a problem with the current system. One from BMW Summerfest at Oulton Park, just gorgeous

How is it June already? Work and family still consuming way too much time I am however back dailying the Mercury, after the fuel leak issue turned out to be trivial, and has also helped with the cold starting. I spotted a steam traction engine whilst out it it

You have far too much space in your garage - you desperately need to invest in more 'kit' or buy another car . . .or two

Zoot Suit Riot Memorial Cruise happened this weekend just gone. Commemorating the 1943 week of attacks on Mexican Americans on the streets for wearing "unpatriotic" zoot suits: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoot_Suit_Riots which ultimately played a part in giving rise to the Chicano movement. Unsurprisingly given the victims and origin, there are a lot of lowrider bombs in evidence on the cruise.

I wore a Zoot Suit for my wedding in Vegas 👌

Sold the 914 today. Felt all the emotions in the hour or so before the boy turned up. Afterwards I just felt relieved.
