Never got this to where I wanted it (and seemingly never got any decent photos) but is200/300 sportcross has always seemed a good base Not too modern but with some of the luxuries a modern brings, practical and reliable enough, accessible spares, increasing uncommon especially in manual (but now also increasingly expensive) Also the marmite back-end to decide on

Watching with interest, as our two are hitting puberty and longer trips in the mk5 GTI are starting to feel a bit cramped, even with the roof box. I want an RS4, but need to build a good case for it...

Volvo are the daddy of practical estates... My 740. Utterly reliable, 45MPG on a motorway run. What's not to like?

Wagons are the best cars. My 325 that has been through the wars, has risen from the dead and just suits me very well indeed. Power, handling and I can haul stuff! Rysz.

One of my favourite cars, would have it back in a heartbeat. Estates are just cool. Tom

Had three Volvo wagons, the best of which was a phase 1 v40 t4. Bit of a sleeper with 200bhp used to surprise a few quick cars.
current car is a Subaru legacy gt spec b wr limited. J import and only made in this spec for one year, around 270 brake and fairly rapid.
can’t seem to upload pics since the forum update
