Happy birthday, RR! I joined 11/03/04 after Darren told me about this place whilst purchasing an old VW Golf from me I think I still have some flyers with the old logo from the first RR show. Here’s to the next 20 years…

Congrats on the 20 years! Rare anything lasts that long on the internet First time I became aware of RR was when a mate was showing me something on here, while we were sat at the back of a lecture in our first year of uni in 2010 Joined up a couple years later when I got my MGB and haven't looked back

Yikes, I’ve just received the email… I’ve not been round these parts for a lonnnggg time, not for any real reason other than life getting in the way and all that. I’m not sure exactly when I joined but it would have been 2004/2005. I was at the first meet up at Santa Pod - I took my wife’s blue Imp and that ended up on tv with that Jason fella (ex of Top Gear). I was oblivious to his interest and him looking at the car, let alone filming it as I was watching the racing. Mainly that mad twin-engined Mini with the “rust is lighter than Carbon Fibre” stickers… I still remember the sunburn…
Anyhoo - glad to see the old place doing well and some familiar names. Ironically, I now live next door to another old-skool RR name - I'm not 100% sure he’s fully put two and two together yet!
Here’s to another 20 years of being unique.
Peas loaf and sausage rolls, all.

Happy Birthday, RR! I thought I'd been here from the start, but my profile says otherwise. Either way, I'm glad I'm still here. Bonus retro toss pic, taken a few days ago.

Happy birthday, RR! I joined 11/03/04 after Darren told me about this place whilst purchasing an old VW Golf from me I think Oh yeah, I remember that car 2004: 2022: I wonder how many other cars from on here back then are still around, is RMad's old Cressida still out there? I think the ScrapingScrap W126 Coupe died didn't it?

Happy 20th RR. I joined mid 2005, it was DarrenW fault as he linked to a thread on RR from Volkzone. This year is 20yrs since I bought my Beetle, which is going to be 50 this year. Been absent from forum land for a few years now, family life and lock down ended my Gathering streak and the Weekender is always over my wife's birthday time, but who knows I may make a return this year.

Wow, I think I've been on here for about 15 years 😬
Happy birthday RR and well done on surviving the social media era!
*Edited as I can't math today.

I *think* I joined with my original account in late 2004 or early 2005.
Bizarrely I came across the forum whilst I was working in China as it was one of the few Western forums that weren't blocked by the Chinese IPs.
Many Happy Returns.

Couldn't believe it when I saw the email pop up in my inbox today... 20 years. Impressive, and terrifying in equal measure. Not here much these days, but I felt like I had to just pop my head round the door and say well done.

I wonder if there's someone out there who posted a project build in the first year and still hasn't finished it. Happy birthday retro rides, pic just because

I either lurked a bit at first or possibly had another username, hence me not joining with this account until November.
There’s not many things I’ve had for 20 years so something as throwaway as a forum account being one of them is quite an achievement 😆

I wonder if there's someone out there who posted a project build in the first year and still hasn't finished it. Mine is from a year later and still very much not finished. I think VIP has had his Cutlass project almost as long as the forum has existed?

Happy 20th Retro Rides Looking at the first post and images that HoTWire posted of the forum for 20 years ago, I'm pleased to see that fundamentally the look of the forum hasn't massively changed (which is a good thing, even if we've had a rocky spell with the latest image update) Here's to the next 20 years of this awesome forum
