Due to the recent loss of my job , I'm looking to set up a metal refinishing business. So if your alloy bits look cruddy or you just feel like some bling under your bonnet, contact me at polishing-services@hotmail.co.uk for prices. Cheers

Wanna give me a price on the compressor housing and elbow from my turbo? I hate trying to polish that awkward bit on the housing.

Would be great if you could mention this on other forums trg. As I'm just starting up, the more publicity the better! At the moment I'm looking to work to around £6 per hour. Would have to get a better look at your wheels kee, I'm in Stoke if thats any use, Is the turbo off the car bbq?

£6ph is a bargain depending on how many hours to do each piece.
Guesstimates?

Silly thing is I charged £140 to polish 4 alloy wheels, but when I worked it out it was about £3.50 an hour lol.

Sounds interesting, rough idea to polish a rocker cover, alternator & thermostat housing?

Turbo would probably be £50 to£60 all in, rocker box around £20. Wheels would be £150 to £200. Cheers

for wheels id charge from £50 for detail work ie. raised spokes and the like.
for a fully mirror polished show wheel i'd certainly charge upwards of £100 and even then it'd be cheap for labour.
some lad i know polishes bike bits as a side line, ill ask him whats the going rate. i know i got a rough quote of £30 to polish each individual rim of my split rims
