... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

How 'period' is that?... ACE!! I agree, fantastic shot. You don't see back-drops like that on 'Life on Mars', do you?

Please tell me that's not a a T-Bird in the top left.... Sadly it is. Think I've got a better picture taken on a later date which I'll post when I come across it. Most of the pictures I took in the yard are b & w- which I'm digitising alongside the slides. One corner of the place was Yank heaven and I'm guilty of only taking pictures in that bit

Awsome pics, makes me wanna watch life on mars all over again! Bit of a rare creature that E reg imp, its got the scroll badge on the rear pillar, something going on with engine lid too to stop it getting sratched when unloading stuff!

Those photos are bloody great, the one with the American thing (a Ford?) next to the shop and the Enoch Powell dig (I take it to do with the 'Rivers of Blood' speech?) is bloody brilliant, everything about it's perfect. I like the shot underneath too, with a Sunbeam Imp probably feeling a bit inadequate next to the Baracuda! ;D I'd be abusing time travel too to be fair, going back to the 60s and 70s to buy rust free Hillman Imps and mounds of new spares, retro accessories and like. Might even defect to the USSR and come back with a shiny new Volga or Tatra! ;D

awesome photos. Makes you want to look out the window into the street and imagine what "everyday" boring cars out there will one day be looked back on with such nostalgia...

Please tell me that's not a a T-Bird in the top left.... Meh, it's a '57, possibly the most heinous of the Thunderbuckets in my eyes....apart from the modern tosh that is, oh, and the 58...shudder. I'm more upset about the Fury/Belvedere/Savoy...sniff.

Brill pics keep em coming, can't get more retro than the actual thing, olden days just older than me too. If prints were easily affordable i'd be interested in a few too.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Simply fantastic! Could that be an A60 van with the white roof. Perhaps even a Sun-Tor? Love the winter shot. I knew we had proper snow back when I were a lad And the yanks in the scrappy! Ooo!

Stunning! As a kid I always remember that there seemed to be a crusty '50s & '60's yank on every street corner, usually with a tarp on and with a low low reg number!

Isn't the van a Transit? Compare the size with the one heading towards the camera at about the same distance...
