that's the one i rescued from the scrappy a year or so ago, we did the brake upgrade so can i have my spacers back when you fit the alloys and DON'T back to black the bumpers cos they came as standard in grey, they aint faded. it'd probably benefit from a 5 speed box imho.

Noice!! I bought one of them for £50 for my girlfriend of the time for Christmas about 18 years ago. Great little car, completely indestructable and incredibly nippy for a 998cc! The beeyatch sold it after we split for £800!!

Sweet! I don't blame you for leaving a deposit, I almost did just by looking at the pictures! ;D Looks a bloody clean example, well done to Guz for rescuing it too!

I'm well excited.
had good look at it today. couple of rust bubbles here and there (5 in total) seat fabric is a bit saggy, bit of condensation in a few of the lights, sun damage to the top of the rear seat fabric.
thats about it ;D

You jammy git. Is there any reason the front windows are split in two? Can't remember seeing that much on cars. sometimes its done so internals like window winders and the like have room to fit in. other times its to do with the shape of the doors. and others its if they open. on this its for the internals i think

You jammy git. Is there any reason the front windows are split in two? Can't remember seeing that much on cars. Kids today! If you go back to the 70s most cars had them and the corner (called a quarterlight) actually opened to get fresh air in the car. Cars largely carried on having them into the 80s in some cases but they didn't open any more. Largely for the same reason as some cars still have them on the back, namely the mechanical limitations of the size of the door. Edit: Nice Polo.

... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

Can't remember seeing that much on cars. never seen a beetle, mk1 golf, early mk2 golf, vauxhall nova, citroen ax etc etc etc then ;D polo looks superb, i was looking at them a few months ago but couldnt find any without a huge 'scene tax' so settled for a small bumper mk2 gti instead

You could flick the ash off you tab without it all getting blown back into the car.
