it is a ghibli!
heres a stocker-
they use the 4ac-24 engine, which is worth shedloads of money because basically they're curse word. 80bhp more than a 18v bi-turbo, but blow up badly, and can't succesfully be tuned to much beyond standard. IHI turbos on cup models are £4k each! ceramic jobbies.
enough about the wide arch awfullness, onto proper maser's. I do know quite a bit, my mates an italian specialist and has done biturbos for about 15 years.
the short version is thus- electrics are rubbArsh, IHI turbos don't just wear they detonate, carbs are too small, if you want injection on any model add a grand, the starters waaaaay to small (its fiat 127!!!), early ones have reliable gearbox and diff- later ones are pants. mangoletsi fuel injection is best described as "external combustion". basically the engine and running gear is great and the engines will do 200K easy, but what surrounds them is made from papier mache.
not everything is that expensive and the good news is that almost everything is available from the dealer right back to the earliest models. they even had five or so fully panelled brand new shells in the factory a couple of years ago! you won't get a speedo head in europe tho; they fail a lot and my mate has all the european stock in his house as maserati made a slight pricing error on them ;D stupid decimal points! ;D
remember it is prestige car and parts aren't vauxhall prices, but they compare to bmw/merc/vw. not quite as silly as honda prices.
oh, and those little carriage clocks are cartier and £600 a piece I believe
