I know its not as good as some of you guy on here, but it took me bloody ages to do and I am proud of it........... .....advice on making the paint look better would be great (as I ended up colouring it in MSpaint)

^ upload a photo onto a graphics editor, make a separate layer over the top and 'trace' with a line tool. Then you can take the top line layer and add colour. Good stuff! Or just draw straight onto the photo and block colour ghetto style

If you are using Photoshop you could mask off 1 panel at a time and set up a gradient fill for it from your picture. For example, Mask off the front wing, use the dropper tool to sample the colour of the front of the front wing of a photo of your car, Select gradient fill On the colour palate thingy click the 'swap over' arrows go back and use the dropper to select the colour from the rear of the front wing. Hit the swap over arrows again gradient fill the unmasked part of the wing! Na nar!
When you read it like this it sounds awkward but if you read it and try it at the same time you will know what I mean!
