Not very picky what it is but I have a real hankering for a convertible for summer. Not expensive, ideally with MOT, smallish engine and not curse word looking (I guess that is quite picky really : . Swap for a mini would be ideal Got my eye on a shaggy looking but tested Spitfire on the bay, any other suggestions?

i've got a friend who's seliing his Rapid cabrio if you're interested, its in very good condition, cheap for what it is but may be more than you want to pay, its done 33864 miles from new, with MoTs to back this up, only 1400 miles since last MoT. Its taxed till March and tested 22nd August. He's open to reasonable offers Its local as well. Scunthorpe A couple of pics of what it looked like Since he's had it he's fitted black bumpers and grille, tidied up the rough areas, it looks stunning now. Plus a few years ago the great John Haugland sat in it.

I maybe selling my 86 Vauxhall Cavalier Cabriolet. About 11 months MOT and 5 months tax, full leather, lovely paint, but a bit of a tear in the roof which i may or maynot repair. New brakes and exhaust. I'd want my money back on it so £850 is the asking price.

Aw man i can't believe that Rapid is in Scunthorpe!! I don't know if I'd feel guilty buying one while mine is sat in the drive still. As to the Cav it looks great but a bit big for me and I'd imagine the insurance would be too much.

Yep 1.3 Spitfire/'Tesse/Herald were what I was thinking of right now, few nice ones on the classifieds of www.tssc.org.uk, just trying to find one that works for that sort of money. I'm loving Inca yellow too ;D

This may not be quite what you're after but see my post in readers rides for my Herald convertible. If after reading the description you're still interested then I should expand on what's up with it, when I said rusty chassis I mean chassis outrigger rust. This isnt as terminal as main chassis member rust in a Herald as the outriggers are all available and are do-able if annoying.
I don't have a photo but I could sort one out over the weekend. It's in Oxfordshire.

Ooh lots of searching- thanks ( *cough* ebay addict *cough*) That talbot looks cute but lord knows what's wrong with it, hood looks a bit buggered which could be hard to replace. herald948- thanks but your description isn't too encouraging is it legal? I lie Heralds but if it would need a heap of work I'm not really up to it unfortunately, I'd like something to drive with nto too much fuss/rolling project if you get me. I'm a wimp

Mini van sounds good though I'm terrible at keeping to a plan.

Mug not found. The car's legal and nice to drive. Though as I say it'll need at least a chassis outrigger for MOT. But I fully understand you not wishing to take on a project.
