Yet again some of you may have read my description of this car in the readers rides thread.
It's a TR7 convertible that I bought a few years ago as a project which I never managed to complete. It's a Canley built car (Important because the Canley cars were built by Coventry car workers wheras the Speke cars were built by Bolshevik ex dockers) so it has some semblance of build quality. It has the 2 litre 4 cylinder lump and the same 5 speed box you'll find in the Rover SD1, Sherpa etc.
I did some of the welding, tarted up the front suspension and fitted a brand new radiator and copper brake pipes and fuel pipes(The green boxes you'll see on the dash.)
Having a look at it yesterday it's a lot sounder than I thought it was. It has the usual consmetic BL rust - bottoms of doors, that kind of thing, as well as the usual TR7 swingarm mounting rust which has been welded once before and needs doing again.
The hood is tatty. It comes with a Lenham GRP hardtop which you'll see in the photos below.
How much do I want for it? I'd be happy with 250 quid cash. The DHC TR7s are quite sought-after and this one comes with a hardtop which is uber-sought-after.
Location: North Oxfordshire.
