Sorry its not an RS2000 but a 1.1L 4 soor saloon in a baby blue colour. Great condition, totally original and no rust to speak of. Had the front wings professionally replaced before it went into storage in 2001 Also had rear arches refurbished. Looks smart. very tidy interior. Its on 2.8 Capri alloys at the moment but I have the original cortina style steelies with it. Comes with a load of spares including a boot spoiler, metal quarter bumber for the front and rally style quad spotbamps for the front (I broke up a 1600sport) No Tax or MOT When I had it on the road it went really well, but got though alot of tie bar bushes.
I'm looking for £350 ONO as It cost me more than that to have the wings fitted in 2001 and I would like to get some money back on it, also its cost me ££££££ in storage costs since 2001, £3.50 a week, you work it out!! Its gotta go and I havent got time to put it back on the road.
The car is in Moseley, Birmingham Email me on Lankytim@hotmail.com

For an MOT it would need general fettling to normal stuff, brakes e.t.c due to it being standing. I think the front bushes will need doing AGAIN. Its got a new (well in 2001) exhaust and starter motor, the alternator was new in 2000. Cant think of anything else it would need, best thing to do would be to book it in for mot and see what happens. I'm fairly sure it will need atleast some work, but not much at all.
Oh yes the interior is in very good nick throughout, but I think theres a rip on the passenger seat not very big and the rear seat has faded at the top (looks about as strong as toilet paper now) Sorry if I'm sounding a bit vague, but I don't get to see the car all that often, I just check up every now and again to make sure its still there!
One patch of rust which I forgot! you know the seam in the engine bay on the bulkhead, that "bulge" thing, well the seams got a 1 inch rust hole though it. It was a scab but I wire brished it ready to weld a patch and never got round to it. Not a big deal but worth mentioning.
Its a W reg (not many mk2 W regs about I'm told) and has about 46k on the clock if I recall correctly. Not many I know that. I bought it off a mates aunt, who had it 4 or 5 years when she bought it off the original owner, some old dude. One other thing, its got square headlamps, not round ones.
Someone is going to be well chuffed with this car. I don't want it to go but I have no room and I'm getting married this year, and Ive got a mortgage, yes the happy days of owning loads of old motors and having fun are well and truly over.
I will sort piccies soon, but the car is in Brum and I'm in Stoke on Trent, so next time I'm down ill take some. This weekend hopefully!

Listen up everyone, this cars gotta go. When I took the pics on monday I found the lock had been cut off the lock up garage it was in and someone had been mooching, A local told me at the same time another MK2 in a garage 2 down from mine was broken into and taken away on the back of a lorry, probably baled by now. He also said that several cars had been dragged away on the back of lorries, anything without tax or that looked to be abandoned. This included a brand new TR7 heritage shell that some poor bloke had bought a couple of years ago and was storing until he had the money to rebuild it! It didnt matter that it was under lock and key in a garage, off came the lock and away it went. I think I'm fortunate that my car hasnt been removed, it sounds like they didnt have room for it on their truck. Ive now replaced the lock so hopefully they will see that the garage isnt abandoned and if they take the car it will be noticed pretty quickly. I know all the scrap steel yards in the area pretty well, so if any have in a blue mk2 as scrap I should beable to track down the culprits and weigh them in instead.
Anyway, not to guilt trip you all or anything, but if it gets pinched and weighed in then its YOUR fault for not buying this great car... just kidding..
Its going to go on ebay next week. Keep yout eyes peeled!
