I thought id let you's know on here that i came across this on the Edinburgh freecycle, it is actually located in my local town. Heres what she wrote about it plus the link. She says it needs to go, it was originally on ebay but the highest bidder never collected it. This classic Commer has been off the road and needs major mechanical overhaul. A beautiful camper inside, it comes with an incredible amount of spares -engine parts, lights, windscreen and set of wheels- to help to keep it going for the next 30+ years. An exciting project for a classic camper enthusiast! Pics are here - www.kosmoid.net/penicuik/freecycleIt is in need of a fair bit of work but i though maybe someone might be interested on here.

these things don't hang about long and the link says recently, not today As i said, i emailed her today and she replied telling me it was still available and that shes happy ive posted it on here for her, that was only 1 half hours ago so I'm sure it will still be available. It was actually only posted on freecylce today, it says recently because it was avaialble on ebay before but the winning bidder didn't collect. If someone emails her qucik its theirs!

Freecycle is great, but I think it's more likely that tv etcs will go quickly, not everyone would want a rare vehicle needing a lot of work. It's worth a shot Could anyone go check it out?

I certainly woudnt mind having a look at it if anyone wants me to, it cant be furter than 5 minutes away, however I'm no expert especially on old campers. Id be able to give a general description of its state, it looks good from the photos but she does mention work is required. Still for free, surely somone would be able to save it from the scrappy.

come on pog/ russ get it. surely its gotta be some use for the project? It -would- be useful. But it would cost a small fortune to get it back. You need a proper flat-bedded recovery wagon to shift these, and they don't come cheap. 400-odd miles at £1.70 a mile.... go figure!
