A '73 (L Reg) Truimph Spitfire in need of full resto which I'm prepared to give away free. Its my brother's and I can't see him restoring it and it needs to go. I've got 13 of my own cars and don't need any more.
Actually..I can't remember if its a MK V or IV - I'll check tomorrow.
Its a soft top, and has Smiths gauges, overdrive gearbox and 1500 engine. Its pretty much complete. The headlamps have been removed but I think they're still in the car somewhere.
It has to go by next Monday or its going to the scrapper. I can't be arsed to break it either.
Its by no means mint - it needs a complete overhaul. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow if I'm passing it.
Its rolling and currently on hard standing and there is access for a trailer if you wanna move it. Hell, I'll even help put it on the trailer!
The car is in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.
Cheers,
Larry
Edited..Its prob got a 1500 engine not a 1600! Doh!

I'm currently restoring a MkIV - given the amount of spare parts and panels I've managed to collect, I would love to take it off your hands to do it up myself, but I'm in East Hampshire with no way of getting to you!
Do you know of any local companies who offer transportation?

I know someone who does transportation..
Whereabouts are you in East Hampshire?
I'll speak to him and see how much it would cost.
I'd trailer it out to you for petrol cost, but I sold my trailer recently due to lack of storage!

Bordon, about 25 miles south of Guildford on the A3. The AA's route planner reckons on 90 or so miles.

I'm not saying I'm Batman, but have you ever seen me and Batman in the same room together?.........
And no, I'm not Ben Affleck!

Yeah, it is. I've had quite a bit of interest - most people are trying to arrange transport. First person to collect it can have it. BTW, Telkman.. the transport should be around the £120 mark to get the car to Boudon. Need to work out the exact mileage and the guy said he'll get back to me if you're still interested.

Very interested - would be great to have a car to use as reference for mine which I could do up as well when I've got the know how!
That sort of price for the transport would be fine - I've got the money waiting and can go ahead straight away! If you want some personal details, drop me a PM!
I understand it's a lot of hassle on your part arranging the transportation, so if you prefer to go with someone who can shift it themselves, I completely understand!

I've sent a text to the guy to give me a firm price and I'll let you know. To be honest, if someone was to restore the car, they'd get my preference anyway as I'd love to see if back on the road one day. .. then I can buy it back!
