As mentioned in the General thread (cheers for that) - my part done Rover P5b Coupe is still for sale to a good home ---
Due to some personal reasons I'm unable to finish my Rover P5 Coupe project. I've already sold off a fair bit of the kit, but the actual Rover itself with all the modifications is still sitting in Burnham Autos.
I really don't want to scrap it as it was a really good rust free car. I paid about £6k for it some 2 years back which is the upper price for a Rover, but it was in excellent condition. So far Burnhams have removed the engine and gearbox, modified the crossmember to accept a small block chevy and TH700R4. Fitted a modified Jag XJ front clip and the Hi-Spec Monster4 billet brake kit (not inc.). Modified and fitted the Flaming River steering column to clear the suspension. Front suspension is set up for Airbags (not fitted). All told there is about £7k of modification work (all the really hard stuff).
What was planned next was the fitting of the engine (now sold), fitting of a Ford 9", propshaft etc, then fitting and setting up of the air suspension.
I'd like this to go to someone who could continue the project to completion so i'm willing to let it go for considerably less than I have spent.
Please contact me on grant at thefullers.co.uk if you want any more info or are interested in the car. Its the basis for a really nice car!
Ooops - should have said, I'd like to get £3k for this. Around £14k spent.
*** paul informs me he still has the Rover front clip fully intact - so if you wanted to got with a Rover engine, you can (cant see why though as the Jag front and new steering is far better )
