OK, I know we have a lot of J-car afficianados here and I need some help!
Decided to go with the Toyota CT26 turbocharger for my engine, but I'm having a bit of trouble sorting ot the plumbing...
The unit has 4 pipes from the bearing housing. One is definitely the oil return (the big one) but the others are all the same size. I'm assuming that the unit is water cooled (it would explain why there are more than two pipes), but I don't have a clue which is which.
Obviously it's critical I get this right as water doesn't make a good lubricant at 15000 rpm or more!
Does anyone have a turbocharged Toyota who could advise? Ideally a scan of the manual diagram would be cool, but any advice would be welcome.
To further muddy the waters, I don't know exactly which Toyota this came from, but I believe it to be from an early Supra of some kind (Mk2 maybe?).
Any pointers would be very welcome
