Anyone building a retro Mark 1 Golf?

Not strictly legal, but..........

But I have a V5 and VIN plate for a '77 Golf GTi, a very early R plater in black. I bought it for the engine in 1997 and picked the rest of it clean. There is a shell for it but it's absolutely knackered, i.e rotten as a pear and the roof chopped off at the pillars.

Would be a nice finishing touch for a project.

Ze DVLA are everywhere......in fact on some of the Land Rover forums they actually report anyone who advertises a V5 on Ebay to the DVLA. Don't want to be seen as taking the moral high ground, but if I were you Supercover I'd delete your own post.........
