Hi all ;D
Yes, yes, I know, I've had the car for about a month now, but I am testing the water as I might be selling.
The Details:
It is a 1990 (H) VW Golf MkII in Tornado Red. It has a 1300cc engine with only 63k original miles on the clock and it's a fantastic runner. It has 5 months tax on it and about 8 months mot if I remember right. When I first brought it I was told it had a head gasket problem. The head has been skimmed, theres a new cambelt, tensioner, sparkplugs, gaskets (decent ones) oil and frest water/antifreeze been put in and it is running fantastic now. By no stretch of the imagination is it particulaty fast, but it runs brilliant and handles like a mini! ;D
The bodywork is in really good condition. There is a bit of rust on the arch's, but it is not bad. There is a slight dent on the passanger arch and on the passanger rear door, but nothing that can't be repaired. Apart form that, the rest of the bodywork is in great condition. The paint is really good with only a few slight fades in places, but considering it is a red car and it is 17 years old, it is fantastic! It has a set of BBS RA (I think) alloys with brand new Firestone tyres all round, I think they have about 500miles on them, which will be sold on the car as well.
The interior is again in great condition. There are a few marks on the drivers seat, but with a good clean, these will come out. There is a Sony CD player as well I will leave in the car as I don't have an original to replace it with.
Pictures:
I haven't fitted this yet, but I also have an eyebrow to go with it.
The only reason I'm looking to sell is it is a bit too slow for me. Its great having cheap tax, insurance and petrol, but the route I go on to work means I have to put my foot down a bit.
I'm looking for about £550 for the Golf.
I've got a set of P-Slots as well that I might be selling too, but I'm not sure as I might keep them for the Jetta. If there is a decent enough offer though, I would let them go.
If you would like anymore info, just post up here or send me a PM ;D
