Sorry, but if it had its original engine you would not only of sold it on e-bay the first time you put it on, but the overfuelling issue would of been sorted in minutes.

I must admit that any body saying that old Skodas are curse word offends me too, and can understand why boycie got a bit uptight there. Each to their own though. There are plenty of cars that I consider curse word but hopefully that doesn't make me a bad person! The truth is in the real world old Skodas are NOT the best car in the world. However in my heart they ARE the best, and I suspect in the heart of many other Skoda enthusiasts including boycie they are too. Because I'm a Skoda enthusiast I would prefer a Skoda like this to have a Skoda engine. If that makes me blinkered then I'm blinkered too, but I can also see the attraction in many other makes of car.

However, back on topic.... this is one very cool Skoda indeed, and I wish you the very best of luck with the sale. You deserve to sell it, you're certainly not being greedy with the price. Have you considered advertising in the Skoda Owners' Club magazine?

BTW I have, do, and will continue to put my money where my mouth is regarding Skodas! I can't speak for the others though!

Hi Spazdaguy, no you didnt upset me. I automattically get upset when people say Skoda's are curse word. I'm used to it everyday now Also at that price you are askingits an absolute bargain.
As for the running bit though its true. As powerfull as that Estelle is now it would of been so easy to sort out if it had been the original 105 engine. I would lift the cover of that up and not have a clue what was wrong
Are you sure it is running rough too. I have the Retro Cars mag here at home and re-read about your car every week and from what it says it did it normally. Could it just need a bit of a service?

Its always run a touch rich, its what happens when the whole air pump setup is removed - this is a whole new level of richness tho

I love Estelles and Rapids, hell I've even got a Fabia (sorry, I know....)
