Naa they cant be, Ur thinking of the Chrome Sill covers you see on all MG models now they are there to cover the rust, and somehow the owners think the rust will stop with them, think they look dirty. I mean Chrome on the sills this country you cant keep em clean long enough
U amnaged to fit the lowering kit Gavin, just noticed the ride height is very very high, I lowered the front on the BGT this weekend looks the mutts but now driting is a bit too easy

i love the chequered stripes at the bottom of your door- are they to hide rust? ;D Well its had new steel welded in the one side which as a result burnt off some paint when we did the welding!! so its actually hiding primer behind the tape!.....so its not hiding rust but fresh metal Thats next on my list to lower it but i've ran out of funds this month, will look loads better lowered did a quick photoshop a while ago, won't quite be that low though! as i would not be able to use it round by me

You should complement those black and white checks along the side by painting yourself yellow and driving into a concrete block!!!
Only joking!!!

Yeah i've got one of those in mind but going to wait till it lowered so i can judge what sort of clearance it will leave as i have dreaded speed bumps down my street
