White Audi 90 Quattro. Saloon. Resembles a big white barge. Wheels are getting a little tatty apart from one i imagine to have been swapped with the spare (three of the road wheels, plus the spare, are already painted and looking scabby. the other is in really good nick) what do we think to large white cars with black / very dark grey wheels? i know volvo T5s used to do it but i can't find any pics of audis with speedlines on apart from this - anyone fancy a black wheel photoshop? it's slightly different to mine but same sorta thing.

White cars with black wheels were a BTCC staple before to got FUBAR'd. But make sure you use a good etch primer or you'll be painting them twice a year to keep them up.

yeah yeah hard as nails gonna go and photo my car tomorrow after i clean it, one last photoshop then i'll paint them. might do it rough first - cos they need blasting ideally, but i can't stump up the £ - then if i like the look get 'em done properly. only problem with them wheels is that the fake 'bolts' around the edge are plastic! hence when you blast them or wire brush them or anything, they come off.

The ones on my coupe were Genuine Split's IIRC.... are yours the 14" ones then?

who knows a good alloy wheel blaster/powder coater? What sort of money does it cost? I had five 13" steel wheels blasted and powder coated for £80 (originally quoted £110, but they knocked off £30 without me even asking as it took them so long!!) by Penfold Metallising, in Barnham, near Chichester.

Thats a good price. I think 100-125 is a fair price for 4 wheels. I cant find anyone near me who does it, except some clever tw*t in a scrubby lock-up who reckoned on about 450 Euro! Attempted english-shafting if ever I heard it.
