As part of my clearout and rationalisation some no longer needed Ford bits.
Firstly a Ford 1300cc crossflow engine. Fully re-built to fast road spec, fitted to my old Mk 1 Escort for a short time (did 4-5000 miles maximum of gentle use) and then it's been sat in my garage. Building a 2.1 for my new Escort project, so it's never going to get used. It has been re-bored with new pistons, bottom end fully lightened and balanced with new vandevell heavy duty bearings throughout. Mexico head from a 1600 fitted and a Kent 3FY fast road cam. There is also an Aldon non vacuum advance distributor with it. It is fitted with a lightened and balanced flywheel and the clutch has also done only the same mileage. New oil and water pumps also fitted at the time of the build. Picture below (sorry for the poor quality it's buried in the garage, near the door though so I can get it out easily if needbe) Took the plugs out today and it turned over easy by hand. Just needs a clean and a service before fitting. Ideal for a Mk1 or Mk 2 Escort or Anglia etc. A good one for a younger member who wants to keep insurance premiums down. Was a lively engine, I had it running on a single 40 weber and a Ford mechanic and Escort Guru who set it up for me could not believe it was only a 1300. Price £200.
Secondly I have a 1600 sport gearbox. This was bought to fit to my escort, but again now not needed. Sorry no photo as it is buried in the garage, but could get it out and take one if you are interested. Price £50.
Thirdly I have a tubular manifold to suit the 1300 crossflow.
Price £25.
Finally I have a standard 1300cc crossflow engine and auto gearbox originally fitted to my Escort. Still in the car, but will be removing it shortly to fit the 2.1 Pinto. A low mileage engine and box (about 60,000 I think) ran very well.
Price £50
