I bought it sight unseen about 2 months ago and when I went to collect it the alternator bracket was broken and it had 1 flat tyre and 1 bald one so I left it, went off and sorted out a set of wheels. So I repaired the Alternator bracket yesterday, seeing as the car hadn't been driven for six months I checked all the fluids, the coolant reservoir was empty, filled it and no bother, started straight away and drove really nicely, gearbox, clutch, brakes and steering were excellent though the suspension feels soft and the aftermarket big bore exhaust is knocking slightly. Engine sounded nice and was lively, the oil warning light came on so I stopped and checked, all was good so I got back on, oil light didn't come on again until next time I stopped and started again, according to a mechanic friend they are prone to faulty switches, who knows, there's plenty of oil, it's not burning it and felt good. Everything seemed to work well, reversing it into the garage space the driveshafts were clicking, that's my report in my only drive of it across London on a busy Saturday, no overheating, no dramas, and the doors don't lock! It's parked up in Camberwell South London, the tax is up tomorrow, MOT is the end of January, it has 1/4 tank of petrol and seems quite solid, even has a sunroof, I'd like to see it gone really, a tatty project for someone, the paintwork is okay but the laquer is peeling from the offside rear quarter, the interior is grubby and it needs a radio! just not my bag, come and geddit!
