...with a blown head gasket. Again.
Had enough of it. Anybody want/need anything?
More details/prices/etc after I get home, assuming the wife hasn't taken a match to the f****** thing.

PM sent to Rysz, as even though I have had enough of the car, I prefer not to kill a car if I can help it. Hope those that have responded for bits understand my sentimentality? But if Rysz doesn't want it I will contact everybody as all the above bits are good/serviceable. Also have an Ansa backbox, and the car has 4 tyres (165/55R13) with less than 150 miles on them... Edit: Also less than 300 miles on the alternator.

First dibs on the wheels and tyres if they're available please, agree it's better to give the car a second chance though.

You know what would solve your problems......putting a 1242 out of a punto 60 in there. Goes straight in with just a spacer for the Manifold/Downpipe needed......get to it!!

That was the original plan, but ended up doing the gasket on the 1108 just to get it on the road. And it's gone downhill from there... finding out it needed more sortingon it than I thought.
After stranding and scaring the wife/kids yesterday by blowing the HG again I have decided just to get back cash-wise what I can and move on.
So list of bits and prices should appear after lunchtime, and I'll get some pics of bits, eg seats, tomorrow morning.
Thanks, Phil

Bits and prices off top of my head, I think pretty reasonable as want to get rid. All plus postage* unless stated otherwise: Steering wheel, fair condition - no rips but 98k miles of wear. Free leather gearknob! £10 Brakes complete - Apart from fact they worked, haven't checked their condition. £20 Seats - drivers bolster has a couple of little holes (will get piccy ASAP). £20 Gearbox - worked without crunching or dodgy noises (to my surprise). £40 Not sure how must this could be sent? Wheels & tyres - 165/55 R13 tyres fitted on Saturday and covered less than 150 miles. 'Accelerator' brand (handled/gripped better than I expected) retailing about £35 each. Wheels a bit battered/kerbed but all balanced up OK. Gotta be worth £120? as odd expensive tyre size. Ansa 'performance' back box - £120-odd new, only covered about 5000 miles & in very good condition. £50 Pair of headlights - came with car, untested. £10 Clear front indicators (pair) - good condition. £10 Set (4) std spring/dampers - supposedly lower a non-sporting 20mm? £10 Glass - everything except front screen. £20 Instruments - 98k miles. £10 Rear light - red tinted type. £10 Anything else, just shout. Hopefully start stripping this weekend. * Quite happy for pick up, pony express etc. Might know somebody that can deliver down M1 corridor for 'beer' though haven't actually checked about offering his services
