In 3 easy steps 1. Copy the link & Paste into posthttp://retrorides.proboards29.com Equalsretrorides.proboards29.com2. Highlight it and click the world symbol[url]http://retrorides.proboards29.com[/url] Equalsretrorides.proboards29.comNote it doesn't look any different but you need the url tags to be able to manipulate it 3. Edit it to add the word bitRetro RidesEquals[url=http://retrorides.proboards29.com]Retro Rides[/url] Basically replace the first ] with an = (equals) Add a ] at the end of the link and type in what you want the clicky to read between that and the closing [/url] Note you don't have to add text you can add an image if you wantie (typically ebay threads)Copy and paste the header and you can get an incredibly long link which may or may not work cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-74...1QQcmdZViewItemCode added http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-740i-4-4-lwb_W0QQitemZ200069829157QQihZ010QQcategoryZ9837QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem All you catually need is the information from the header to the end of the item number ie [url]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-740i-4-4-lwb_W0QQitemZ200069829157[/url] Equalscgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-74...emZ200069829157Modifed to (and image added underneath) BMW 740iLEquals[url=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-740i-4-4-lwb_W0QQitemZ200069829157]BMW 740iL[/url] [img]http://i15.ebayimg.com/04/m/000/77/f3/27ca_19.JPG[/img] or (getting clever and inserting the image link complete with tags in place of the text) Click on the picture takes you to the auction Equals[url=http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-BMW-7-SERIES-740i-4-4-lwb_W0QQitemZ200069829157][img]http://i15.ebayimg.com/04/m/000/77/f3/27ca_19.JPG[/img][/url] Code added using the # button above cos it's clearer that way

the code thing is just so I can show you whats being done with the hyperlinks - like a quote - so ignore that and concentrate on the contents of the quote

Perhaps the ebay subject matter wasn't the best one to pick as once the auctions get past a certain date they go dead....
I'll do a new one based on the 2014 awards

Right so using a specific picture and thread Dez budget hotrod build thread Basic link (copied and pasted from the brouser header) retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdumpTo make it a clicky link there are two ways Quick wayClick the hyperlink button - This one type your desired text in the top line (where it says text) in this case it was Dez's hotrod build threadAnd paste the link copied in the second line (URL) In this case the link earlier http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump and the result is Dez's Hotrod Build thread clickyOld fashioned wayFirst you need to make the link a smart link surrounding it by [url][/url] So it looks like this before you submit [url]http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump[/url] *Which makes it clickable retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump
but we want to make it smarter so we change the link a bit replacing the first ] with = and adding a new ]at the end of the link
Just compare the link * with the one below
[url=http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump]Dez's Hotrod Build thread - clicky[/url]
equals
Dez's Hotrod Build thread - clickyBut we don't have to stop there we can make it a clicky picture by instead of typing words we can embed a picture [url=http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump]We want to put the picture here[/url] So this is the image address from the picture I want to use https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2942/15138269439_caf7206952_c.jpg With image tags around it [img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2942/15138269439_caf7206952_c.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"] Now we want to put all that with the tags inside where we wrote the text So Quick wayClick the hyperlink button - This one type your desired text in the top line (where it says text) in this case it was [img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2942/15138269439_caf7206952_c.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"] And paste the link copied in the second line (URL) In this case the link earlier http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump and the result is Old Fashioned wayAny web link needs [url][/url] Converted to a clicky [url=WEB ADDRESS]CLICKY[/url] We use image tags [img][/img] And an Image [img]https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2942/15138269439_caf7206952_c.jpg[/img] And we put all that in place of the clicky [url=http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/122676/build-budget-hotrod-catch-pickdump][img]https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2942/15138269439_caf7206952_c.jpg[/img][/url] And the result is a clickable image PS I tend to use the old fashioned method because I find it easy and fast but the buttons for image and web are very useful as quick ways
