Any good?
Been offered a '79 2.0L for less than £500. Seems to be in good condition with very little rust. Anything in particular I should watch out for?
cheers

on a car of that age could be anything. Most parts prices are reasonable for those. If bodyworks okay engine sounds good and gearbox is smooth go for it ;D ;D ;D

I've always liked the 924. My mate used to own the one Richard Hammond bought for that Top gear challenge. The metallic blue one with the knackered wheel bearing Granted it didn't have a lot of power, but we took it up to brands for a thrash (not on the track just on the roads around the area) and we still managed to get it sideways in the dry, they are a crack up to drive, it was a hot day so all the windows were down, in short, it would be rude not to buy one. Could you fit the Carrera Cup rims, with a 5 stud conversion? Then add a pair of bucket seats, lower it, and put something lairy under the bonnet?
