Cool, I always liked the model which came defore that one (as in the lower ones of your pics) local guy had one but it was too dear when it was up for sale or I'd have bagged it. I've never ever seen a Commo A in the UK - even at car shows - I had always a ssumed they were Europe only.... I like the shape too

Well I said the plan would be fluid didn't I..........
I've been doing my squirrel impression - gathering acorns
- Calibra Leather interior (now in loft)
Scratch 24V application under the bonnet as I've secured
- 3.6 Irmscher 12V engine with big valve head, R&T cam, AFM and ECU
- R25 Gearbox (Sold it and now I've bought it back ;D)
- S/H DMF and flywheel assembly - needs a ring gear fitting (nicked it for the Monza ;D - ooops)
Got some other wheel options I'm looking at........ Might post a pic and see what people think

Now don't you go spreading that about ;D Anyway wheels Obviously they were a bit to wide/offset for a mates commodore but as I plan to "flare the arches a bit" Hot or Not?

That's awesome. For crying out loud don't dechrome it or get rid of those brilliant nipple hubcaps. Keep it as a sleeper, just add the modern running gear. Dechroming is so 90s! Chrome and vinyl roofs rule. Great find - all the best with it, whatever ya do with the old girl.
I 'inherited' a 1975 Opel Rekord from a landlord in London. It was a one owner car that had been in the garage since 1980. 33k on the clock and glovebox full of greenshield stamps. Freakier still was the fact I had to break into the garage and, under all the dry leaves around the car, I found a totally mummified dog. Very very very strange. I put it on a sheet of chip board and took it to a mate's barbeque. I flogged the car for just £80 in the end!

HOT indeed. Especially in black I reckon. Narrower tyres would work til you flare the arches no? I shall consider the 3.*COUGH * a secret then and keep my lips sealed!

That, minus some tire and ground clearance = win. I have a 78 Rekord D 2000 slushbox that i plan on throwing 215\40-14 tires on 9x14 steffan wheels ;D Just have to sort some rust first

That, minus some tire and ground clearance = win. I liked it too but Alf didn't and as a result he fitted other wheels It's lower than that now

HOT flare the arches , keep the chrome + the vinyl wig= proper car I agree! Smaller Muscle car is the win.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Been shopping or collecting and storing depends on your viewpoint - 4 x 15 x 8J Wheels Five spoke deep dish ET20!!!! (pics later as I have some quesions) also need to decide on stretch or no stretch - 60mm lowering spring set (F&R) Probably lower than that from original ride height - 8 dial dash unit - New shift lever for the R25 Box (will need an 8 ball I recon but it's a lift up reverse which complicates things) - New gear leaver Gaiter for the shift leaver - Senny one fits the console!!! - 24V downpipe assembly (just need to find a pair of Manifolds from a gold top 3.0 12V engine or a 2.6 12V lump) so I can start the exhaust system from the front with 2.5 inch bore.

I completely forgot you had this BC!! New wheels sound interesting although a less conservative ET would have been nice !! Unless you missed out the minus sign ;D

Unless you missed out the minus sign ;D these wheels are now mine Satin Black I reckon Add a we bit of stretch and the arches will still need jacking out a fair way ;D Alf's car now looks like this - he just couldn't bring himself to modify the arches
