as far as i remember paul saying there had been some difficulty in the garage doing what they did, but they somehow convinced then dvla it was manufactured in 1982, registered in 1995, otherwise they'd be screwed over 90s regulation, and the cat to be specific! gorgeous car really, this model is my ultimate car of all time... just not in 'vomit' lol pog

That really is something special. Its been so long since I`ve seen one with that front, it looks really unfamiliar and exotic, reminds me slightly of a Tatra 613 from the front. Nothing better than a car being 12 years old by the time it hits the road for the first time, in a way this model has outlived its replacement! Closest examples I can think of are a D-registered Cortina MK5 I saw and I read about a 1971 Plymouth Hemi `cuda that sat unsold in a spanish Chrysler garage until it was fianlly bought and imported here in 1981 and issued with an "X" plate.

i did have an amusing time when i demanded some spare (despite the fact i could have supplied the dealership) parts as the car was a 95 registration and asked for spare parts as the car is effectively less than 10years young! lol

- just popped back into my head and slightly off topic - while I was in Cyprus with the RAF - a long long time ago - I was informed of a toyota dealership on the 'dividing line' that had been evacuated and left with the motors still standing......... saw photo's too but can't find any at mo'. Anyone else heard of similar? Thought of a Corolla 1000 on an 07 ( or whatever it is over your way now ) ...........!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
