glad i got the engine cheap as all i am using is the block not happy with the rest cylinder head bolts are blue from heat, think it has been given a roasting at some point, not happy with the crank, there is a mark on it that has left a score in the coresponding bearing shell. so pretty much all i am taking from this is the block, and nothing else ok so here we are so far ACl Race bearings + Pistons/piston rings delivered from america £121 engine £68 Toyota Genuine Gasket set AE101 20v oil pump PASS Racing underdrive pulley kit all £350 delivered from america Water Pump £35 spark plugs £20 Timing belt £20 TRD 0.8mm Metal headgasket £50 plus getting the flywheel and crank lightened and balanced tomorrow charging £50 plus vat, done some name dropping for that price

you could try for silver, or maybe even whatever the complementary colour is to the actual car colour.

black engine bay FTW- then no matter what colour you decide to paint the car / engine in the future, it creates no problems Great work sir, keep it up- shame the engine was a little pooped tho

yup, thats the sort of thing I'm on about. Grey/silver, dark metallic grey/silver would look good, again, you'd still be able to see the stains (should it leak!)

Modifyed (machined) to run High RPM intake is 312 dur 11 lift(discontinued from Japan) exhaust is 304 dur 11 lift cant use them yet as need serious head work, and aftermarket managment also updated my cars website www.86motorsport.comonly been about 8 months lol

OK small update my dad has just informed me that the new conrod bearings that we have are to big, the ACL racing ones these are the ones i went for cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=170119319611 and they are bigger than the ones that we took out the engine and they don't fit so engine rebuild just ground to a halt, till new ones are sourced, curse word the new bearing from what my dad tells me it measures 43mm old one measures up at 41mm Also spent some more money and bought these £130 delivered from america not a bad buy i thought haha so the mental cams combined with these ITB's and my car should sounds rather tasty

Finally got the new bearings and the rebuild has re-comenced had to go with ACL heavy duty rather than the ACL race bearings, but they are the next best thing anyway. pistons are now back at home in the block where they belong and also managaged to get the engine bay painted black so blends i na bit more than the red lol

been a while since an update so here you go small update on this, after many months of being curse word off with the car it is now here Untitled DocumentHypertech in central scotland, guy is an ex toyota mechanic. the engine was rebuild and refused to start, this was a good few months ago now, eventually got fed up so put it into garage valve timing was the problem car now starts and idles, but touch the throttle and it cuts out, so will have the car back next week, awesome just have the run in on the engine to do now and i just wanna cry lol ------------------------------ picked up a new pair of rims for the car impul pro mesh's 14x7 with 5" of dish £120 car is still in the garage, seems there were a few other issues other than timing, a partially blocked fuel system, ignition timing, and a few other niggle bits and pieces, so hopefully back soon
