New addition to the fleet!!! The Granada is soon to leave me, and my 1600E is on the bay, so I thought I'd get myself some '60s BMC muscle! Hope you guys like it. Have a few subtle mods planned (wheels, exhaust, colour). She's a bit tender around the edges, but solid as a rock underneath. Can't wait to get going on her, but I've also picked up something else rather special , so I'll post pics of that tomorrow.

No Michiel, this has the Austin-Healey related 2912cc straight six. You are thinking of the VP 4R with the 4 litre FB60 engine (also found in various military vehicles and Dennis fire engines!!!).
Tim, wait until you see what I put on here today!!!!

Nice, if a little frilly around the edges! Having driven an Austin Healey, I can safely say that it is a fantastic engine. Makes a noise to die for in that particular sports car!
I may have just acquired a Vanden Plas myself (a poo brown Allegro-based one!)

Looks good! With that number plate surely a bit of a police styled makeover would be good

3 litre is funkier - no tail fins on a 4 litre.

3 litre is funkier - no tail fins on a 4 litre. Better engine as well....that RR 4-litre was a troublesome lump of pig-iron AFAIK. Nice big fat side-exiting 'zorstage a la works Healeys, let that big six bellow!!!!! ;D
