Distributer??? I cant see no distributer?? Is it shiney?? Just because there's no cap on it doesn't mean its not there!Look again my friend, its defo there - maybe not as stunningly shiney as the stars in the sky but I can see it! Hoping to get the Magnum to the retro-rides show this year.......lots of work over the next few months though I did see it my friend I was only pullin ya leg......

Slotmag City!!! These just arrived in the post and i'm currently trying to clean them up - any suggestions for best/easiest/quickest way to do this?...... Got the lip of this one polished with a kit from Frost (i know it doesn't look like much in the picture) and its getting there but taking a while: Also getting the majority of the engine bits finished up ready for reassembly. Particularly proud of the finish on this water neck:

Didn't get much done today as i kept making stupid mistakes and had to do the same few tasks about 7000 times but left off with the inlet manifold and carb back in place, spark plug wires done and fuel/water lines done too. I have a bit of work to get done on the sump but hoping that should be done by next weekend so i can get it put back into the car Keep thinking i'm almost finished until i remember that the rest of the car is still in bits!!! False sense of joy here!

Well, let's just say that they're on there and time will tell the tale!!! I'm delighted with the way it turned out though - i'll be disgusted when it doesn't start! Have to say i didnt think i'd spend as long pricking about fancying it up but its done now anyway..............

I started polishing the wolfies for the Magnum when i seen an article in some Ford magazine of a tasty capri with gold wheels and that prompted a bit of spraying......personally, the more i look at them - the more i love it!! And mocked up from a distance: Anyone any recommendations on where to get my front brake calipers reconditioned?I really need to get them done ASAP as they are the only mechanical thing to do once i slip the engine back in. (Personally, i think having the engine in the car is quite important). Have to get this thing on the road soon...... Coggers, your "springs" buddy is getting the call in the morning.....The Stick eagerly awaits.............

Coggers, your "springs" buddy is getting the call in the morning.....The Stick eagerly awaits............. calipers - depending on which ones you have (cos i'm sure there's more than one type..) you should be able to get them through a decent motor factor. I had a pair of re-con lockheed ones in stock at my place. give me a shout if your stuck and i'll dig some part numbers out for you.... springs - 'bout time wheels look good too - crack on my man

I gave him a ring on Friday as I also need some lowering springs before the Retro show at Santa Pod I got through to him on the second attempt and when I asked about springs for a HC Viva at first he said he didn't think he had ever made any so I said that coggers had got a set of him, then he said in that case call back with the part numbers of the ones coggers had made and he would be able to make a set which I thought was a bit weird Surely he can make some springs without a part number So if you do get through to him and manage to order some can you post up the details here please. What kind of drop are you going for? I was planning on ordering 40mm drop springs as 60mm may be too low

I was planning on ordering 40mm drop springs as 60mm may be too low if you want part numbers, the ones i got off him were SP1471 + SP1472 which were listed as Magnum heavy duty , - 2.5".. to be fair to Tony it was September 2004 when i bought mine off him so his memory may be a tad hazy....

Fair play to you coggers, i'm gonna call him tomorrow and have a chat with him so i'll drop your name again and the old part numbers there. Jammzr, i'm thinking of hitting the front with 60mm drop and doing 40's on the rear......my Magnum seems to sit nose up since the engine swap and i'd love a bit of rake on it anyway so i'll see how i get on and let you know either way.
