Hello everyone, first time poster here, gotta say, loving all these awesome cars here! Well, here's my first car, picked it up for $500 back in Nov07. Here's how I got it. Aaand, here's the engine. The tinnnnnnnnny 1.4 litre A14, with a massive 65bhp. Only thing I've done, is paint the darker part of the tailight surrounds black, I don't have any pictures of that yet though.

Well, I do want a front underspoiler like that, haha. Going to find some nice wheels in spring, no more than 15" in diameter. Possibly a sidepipe as well. Not really sure after that. No engine swap though, I don't like to race or anything, plus, it'll do 95mph, so, that's good enough on the street. Oh, those fender mirrors are sick, I REALLY want those.

Alright, here we go, new pics as of 5 min ago. Heres the painted rear trim. Underside. Rear Seat. Gauge Cluster. Front Interior. I don't have much money, so, does anyone know any wheels that would fit, that I could get on the cheap?

Ooooo, cool brown car! Dropped on some cool rims is all you need there. That colour is brilliant. I'd defo be hitting the underside with the wire brush and a generous coating of underseal if its gonna be snowing like that a lot! Never touch the interior only to clean it.I see its a cool auto gearbox - snazzy shifter in there! For $500 how could you go wrong!

Actually, the whole underside is COVERED in undercoating. You can see it on the petrol tank in that picture.
All those wheels, lol. Half of those cars aren't available over here. We've tried 1995 Accord wheels on my car, and they had all the wrong offset, they wouldn't even fit on the studs without hitting the strut.

Morris Marina Commercial wheels are the right size. Old Lotus steels & TR6 steel wheels are favourites. These are TR6 - they have a good offset too. Less back - more front - Steels are 15x5.5 or 15x6 - Not sure what was available in your market tho...

Wow, those TR6 wheels are mint. However, I don't think I'll find any in Connecticut, lol.
I wish I hadn't sold my Opel GT now, I think those wheels might have fit.

It actually is pretty good, theres a bit of rust on the drivers side at the wheelwell corners. I need to change the brakes soon, as they have started grinding.

Brakes are halfway done, these things are a royal curse word, lol. That's with everything off. One of the pads, little worn, eh? Lol. Tiny steel wheels. New rotors! curse word, broken brake line. Rotted out, snapped when we were removing the caliper. 14" Accord steel wheels. +30mm in width. Because the car is on the lift, looks like SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY.

Well, talk about bad luck. After we were done with replacing the front lower lines, we lowered it back down, bled the brakes, and were ready to take it home. As soon as we turn the car on, I touch the brakes, all you hear is PSHHHHH and the pedal goes to the floor. The line blew out of the hose.
So, I had to call the tow truck. Brought it around to the front of the school with no brakes(The parking brake doesn't really work that well either), so, at one point I had to jam the car into park. It was either that, or hitting freshmen. Got it towed, mom agreed to pay for the rear brakes, since they were needed anyways, and for the new hoses and lines.

Yep, the gearbox is fine, I was only moving at about 5mph at the time. Also, forgot to add, in a fit of anger after the line burst, I kinda sorta kicked the front fender in front of the left front wheel. Bent pretty nicely. However, just pulled back out, theres a tiny crease in it now, not noticeable unless you look closely.

Well hey now, I found something cool in my attic today. An old Auto-Timer water temp gauge! I'll get a picture of it up tomorrow, now, where to mount it, lol.
