What is it with these twit's who insist on writing what the car is 'not' in the title of their ebay ad, so that it comes up on other searches? Look at this one. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31360&item=4543976393&rd=1"MERCEDES 280 1973 PILLARLESS COUPEnot BMW,MG,HONDA" As if someone wanting a 'Honda' is going to stumble across that and decide to buy it instead. More often it seems to be barryboys with souped-up kekker wagons doing it as they put in "NOT subaru cosworth evo turbo M3 Type-R" etc etc etc on their ad for a crummy corsa 1.2 with a kingdom bumper. If I was running ebay, anyone who did that would have their credit cars details sent directly to all those nigerian 'shipping specialists' to teach them a lesson. F**K OFF! PS i did not put the apostrophe in 'twit's' above, it has appeared automatically, thus making it gramatically incorrect. Whats that all about?

That annoys me too. Like the ones who write (and I have seen this one before!) "Lada Niva NOT Range Rover, G Wagen, etc" as if wannabe gangstas who were looking for a Range Rover to stick 32 inch solid gold rims with spinners on, but saw a tidy Lada and decided to bling that instead! ;D ;D ;D (I have always wanted to see a Lada Niva get the gansta treatment, purely for comic value you understand, because I have this image of Moscow ganstas, 50 Rouble perhaps? "This one's goin out to all ma comrades in da ghettoe (well, gulag!) ;D ;D ;D ;D ) But seriously, how annoying is that, when you go on looking for one thing and get bombarded with pages of stuff that you weren't interested in at all, I mean that pillarless Merc is nice and I'll certainly tolerate it, but do wee need to see pages and pages and pages of poxy nedwagon Corsas and Cavaliers being sold as "not an Impreza" (really?! Could have fooled me! ) ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah it's stupid isn't it? Same with cheapo "tuning" parts aswell - they put "not HKS, K&N, Greddy....) when it's some sh!tty made in China wibblepoo that does nothing. The craftiest one I've seen is a guy selling cheap-ass monkey-metal tools and after it he puts "go on, snap it up...." so that Snap-On searches dig it up. As if you'd think "Hmmm, I won't buy a tool with a lifetime guarantee, I'll buy this cheapo Poundland reject junk instead!"

PS i did not put the apostrophe in 'twit's' above, it has appeared automatically, thus making it gramatically incorrect. Whats that all about? Sorry about that,.. I'd put its into the swear filter to change to it's ,.. however the system can't seem to pick up the difference between its and twits,.. so I've removed it now

Its doesn't always require an apostrophe either....
I thought it was against eBay rules to do the 'not...' thingy..?

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

It has it's place...for instance if I were selling a Sunbeam Stiletto, then the line 'Sunbeam Stiletto - not Hillman Imp, Singer Chamois' would definitely be a good idea.
