Yeh, things will get lighter as i go, i just don't want to hack out big lumps and then find that attulay i might like to bolt something on that bit Il probably wrap the manifold as a matter of course, maybe a stainless heat sheild too! Fueling, well it will be single throttle body i think, not sure exactly what ECU yet but i can get a good deal on Omex's so if they do all i want then il problably get one of those, tbh I'm taking it one step at a time, ive not even calculated and pully ratios or stuff like that yet. (Il will be asking oppinions when i get to that bit Dom! )

How will you protect the material afterwards? I assume from the thickness it is Alu? Would a clear anodise do it or if this pink that you have been looking for is for the outside, IIRC my engineering training, that a zinc bath and some pink dylon (Fabric dye) would give you a groovy metallic pink for the mount and other associated scratch made alu components.
All looking good man! Megasquirt not float your boat or just too much fannying around?
Rysz.

Yeh might be an idea to anodise, athough the pinks not for this! All you relly need is some sulphric acid and a big powersupply, as you say fabric dye... or even food colouring is good for giving it some colour!
il probably just leave it as-is in the end tho. It will get nice and oily down there I'm sure! Its not like it will be a daily drive getting covered in salt and I'm no tart!
You pretty much hit the nail on the head with Megajizz its so not worth the hassle! I'm trying not to cut corners on this one.

Buy? whats that? ;D its offcuts from work mainly. The big lumps were a old machine 'bed' that was scrapped off. Had a few holes in it but i worked around them to get the bits i wanted.
I made some of it at work and some at my dads.
To be fair if your only after small bits Ebay is probably you best bet for metal. It might seem quite expensive but its relly not that bad compared with what you pay for a full length. Metal is hella expensive right now.
