Keep the badge man, you should always leave a badge on a classic or retro ride, if you want it to look a little different try a badge with a white background instead of blue
I’ve only de-badged one car ever and that was because I took all the chrome off the badges when I was mopping the paintwork

I love the off-center one myself.
Maybe different badges..white background with blue "FORD" would look good too.

you should always leave a badge on a classic or retro ride Why? Don't live by rules, judge every application on it's own merits if it looks fussy then I bin it but if not it stays on the front mitsubishi badge looks cack on a Sapporo so off it came but the Sapporo side script looks ace IMO, so it's still on. Some badges I'd always loose just because they're nasty IMO Vauxhall badge Opel badge Early FORD badge Blue oval

as for the mono/smoothness, it'll be grey with black wheels and white indicators with white/white german plates. as mono as it can probably get ;D Then the man from del'monte he say, no badge.

The man from Bolton, he say no badge and no f&^%$%g German number plates either. I like the concept of stealing bits from other scenes but take the good bits not the fashion victim bits. How good would a MKII Escort look on 7x15 ATS Cups!

About time someone else thought about this! Really like the fully debadged idea as I've never seen it on a Mk2. Though a little Ford badge (alla European Mk1 festa) would look great. As for the option of another badge - Mine with a Mk3 'tina GT badge, which I think works quite well. Like the idea of a Corba though Whatever it definatly need a change from standard! ;D Though a word of warning, nobody knows what it is when you take the Ford badges off! I had a very funny chat with some chav at Santa Pod convincing him a) yes it is a Ford.. b) yes it is an Escort... c) no it isn't a Mk1...... d) NO IT ISN'T BLOODY FWD!!! I'd say bloody kids but he was about my age! lol

Keep the badge, but sand off the blue paint and re-do it in Nimbus grey or whatever contrasting detail colour you're using elsewhere. If you're using one...

I hate to disagree, but isn't that a bit well, Boring....lol Thats been done since the '80's! and very rarely adds much to the look of the car, christ I remember a time in the 90's when every chav'ed Ford in the country had a red/green/black/white/green background badge, its like so last millennia man

So last millennium? Done since the 80s? Is this not retro rides? Red Ford badges looked great then and still look great now.

I like german plates, plus my cars hactually german, GCAF vin number = saarlous factory in west germany...... as for the ATS, ummm, i'll prefer it on my BBS RS i think i'll remove the badge for now, and might add something in at a later date, like the fiesta badge idea, or i might run something else like a twink badge or something a bit sleeper.

Just go without the badge, if you don't like it, fit the badge.

theres more to it than that, i'll have to cut out the whole centre section, remove the wide slats in the middle of the grille, and obviously the badge mount, i've made the centre section, i'll cut it out of the new grill i've got this weekend
any ideas on what glue i can use? i've got a plastic welder, but the rods are pretty massive and i don't think it'd work all too well.
i might paint it with the texture paint i used on the dash insert? (see build thread)
