Finally managed to get this recovered. Took a day trip to put some wheels on it: ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/trip2.jpg) and had it brought home yesterday. ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw22.jpg) I spent the rest of the day killing the rotton one: ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw17.jpg)

Had a few minutes spare so did more chopping up on the parts Tii ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw07-2.jpg) and found out the blue Tii has had an engine swap in it's past so it is a standard carb engine, grrr. ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw10.jpg) But gave it quick wash to get rid of the moss anyway: ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw09-1.jpg)

Saw a bit of daylight through the passenger side arch area and the back panel is shot but the front end is ok and it seemed ok underneath when I had it lifted to put the wheels on it. I'm not kidding myself it's not going to need work but I'm keeping it.
The brown one is totally rotten underneath, some bits are mint, the rest is on the floor.
I'm not made of money but I chose it as my next car because you can buy the panels new even if they are expensive which gives me a fighting chance.
Posted the V62 off today so have to see what I get back from that.

Hmmm 5 months later and no change. Been busy at work and trying to finish my house. :-( Have sorted some replacement panels and parts though. Thought the front indicators looked Mini/Landrover or something, so bought some clear Mini ones off Ebay that are a very close match. :-) Trying to find some headlights if anyone can help? ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmwlight3.jpg) ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmwlight2.jpg) ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmwlight1.jpg)

Is this still going? Regarding the headlamps, I'm having the same problem. I'm just about to attempt to convert some mk2 golf ones and I'll post my results in a thread if you're interested? You don't have a spare tii rear subframe now do you? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) (always on the hunt for parts)

Bin the standard 2002 headlights or upgrade them with a candle and jamjar! They're useless and its pretty easy to modify some from a Golf or similar. The 4 lamp set-up was supposed to improve things but all it did was spoil the look of the 2002. Single headlamps look far better - to me anyway. Your right to bin the Kugelfishcer - unless its all in good order its a pain in the ![](http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/underwire/2009/11/fox_60.jpg) to set up and hard / expensive to modify for more power. M10's are easily converted to run bike carbs though and much better than carbs. Mind you, a bit of induction roar from twin 45's is never a bad thing is it?

Loving the Zender 2002 and really looking forward to seeing what you do with it. A good friend of mine is really into his 2002's....PM me your email and I'll put you in touch with him - he might be able to help you out with some parts for it? Ebay.de is also your friend ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Best of luck with it - I'm bookmarking this and can't wait for some updates.

Just about to go looking for my thread. Lol.
Some git smashed the rear window last week so had to buy a cover for the car for now to try and keep it looking a bit less abandoned. :-(
Saved the rear screen from the scrapped brown one though so that's a plus.
Just have the engine and front of that brown one to finish breaking up and I can move the blue one further down the drive away from the street.
Took some 13" alloys - Alpina copies for refurbing on Monday, got fed up of faffing with the knackered steels so going to get them sorted and transfer the tyres across etc. If anyone knows a source for locking nuts?
Had someone offer me some new quad lights but he never replied. Not sure a standard grill will fit back in though.
Have a rear Zender spoiler if it turns up from Ebay.de for all of 1 Euro. :-) to replace the one on that's been cut.
Hope to do some more on it soon as I'm paying for some of the house diy stuff to be done rather than me do it so I can move in and be able to work on it instead of the house...

Did the zender show up? Don't ruin your car with the quad light set-up - they look gross!

Logged me out when I'd typed my first reply... :-( I emailed the seller of the kit about posting it to England and received this answer "NO!" - charming... would have bid on it even at the price it went up to as they are listed at around £900 to buy new. Zender rear spoiler arrived: ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/zender01.jpg) ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/zender02.jpg) ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/zender03.jpg) ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/zender04.jpg) Needs a good clean up but it's in one piece. The mounts have rusted quite badly though so I'll have to replace them somehow, I can cut up the one on the car now to check how they are made/fixed though. Gave up on the alloys a while ago but had a few quid spare last week so took them to be done. ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmwalloys02.jpg) They are copies and ones a different make but it'll never be an original/showroom 02 again anyway so they will do for me. :-) Will try and give the rear panel I've bought a clean and derust over the weekend ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/bmw15-1.jpg)

There's a cool 02 dash on German e-bay right now with the 3 extra guages in a pod for oil etc. Only 1 Euro with a day left and could be butchered to liven up a RHD 02 dash.

Gave up on diy for a couple of hours today and did some more fiddling with the messed up wires in the engine bay. ![](http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee86/timothyclaypole/th_bmw21.jpg)
