This evening, I passed a couple of TVRs turning into the car park at the cinema, thinking nothing of it I just carried to to Morrisons. On my way back I thought..... "hmmmm, I wonder if there's a bit of a gathering or something" and was greeted by this lot!!

It was a promo/marketing event for the new film speed racer apparently. I went and picked some mates up and rocked back up there.
I did ask if I could stick the imp on the end of a line of Porsche's or summat but no luck [] Instead we made a scene with my mate on the dixie horn and me flooring it in neutral. Ahhhhhhhhh so immature!











































About 70 odd cars there in total! Loads of porsche's but to be honest, I got more attention in a normal parking spot away from the show in the imp than most of the porsche guys did.
As I got back to the car there was a group of chavvy teenage girls taking photos by it. I overheard one of them say "Grandad'll come and get back in it now LOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!11111!!!ELEVENTYONE!!11"

Oh, and the Eleanor rep was running a mahoosive supercharger and NOS (until the coppers walked over at which point he removed the bottle) !!

Is that the Eleanor with the Cobra door pins I woulda seen at Ford Fair last year? Awesome pics mate, amazing thing to stumble upon.
Shame the movie looks so dire, though, lol.

The legality of nitrous use on the road varies from country to country, even within the EU. However, contrary to what many people believe (including some police officers) nitrous oxide injection is legal for road use in the UK and many other countries (just as are turbo chargers and superchargers). According to the Ministry of Transport, the Highway Code and the MOT handbook there is no law prohibiting the use of nitrous injection.

So either he was worrying about nothing or the feller I was talking to was chatting sh*t!

Odd. We have cars here in the US being sold new from the Ford dealer with optional "Nausssss" systems straight off the factory lot! Guess your parliamentarians are more fun-killing than ours at the mo. But we'll catch up, no worries.

It's illegal for road use

I'd be suprised if it was illegal, seeing as my insurance company were more than happy to cover it

It's also sensible if you display a pressurised canister warning label in a window but even that's not required IIRC

Is also worth mentioning that it's not illegal to use on the road - just inadvisable due to the nature of delivery and the speeds capable with it

This car belongs to a guy on PistonHeads - to be honest it looks like a few of the guys on PH are there.

Indeed, I thought I recognised the sticker in the back window. A bit of googling tells me that it was a pistonheads meet. By the looks of it they have a "film night" every year.

There were a few kicking about, I saw at least on speed six, but the batteries ran out on the camera Didn't get the chance to snap and of the caterhams either.
