right, i'll start off by saying, this wasn't my car, its my friend jacks, he's only 15 therefore needed someone with a license to get it back for him.
we got the insurance sorted before hand, then headed down there.
we get a phonecall saying 'the car isn't ready' at 3pm.......'ready' i wonder, and anticipate what this car is going to be like when we get there:
this was at 3.30pm, apparently this morning the car had no suspension, engine or brakes (it didn'ty have any brakes while i was driving it either ;D ;D)
anyway, we watched them get the bonnet, headlights and wheels back on while we fitted the RS2000 recaro we had bought with us as it had no interior
then we are ready to go!
get to the petrol station, the fuel and water both read max, the oil warning light is permenently on. assuming none of them are telling the truth we put a few quid in it and were on our merry way.
once over 50mph, there was a small (large) judder as if the wheels were dramatically unbalanced, so we stuck to 45-50 the whole way back ;D
turned up back on enzzzz 2 hours later and a whole heap of relief hit me. driving a £100 car built in a day with cobbled together parts is for one word 'scary' but it was worth it for the feeling you get when you pull it up on the driveway ;D
i'll assume jack will put up a few pics of it on here as its got a few mods planned
