hi all, i'm looking at these cheap (£40 ish) pacet fan copies on ebay uk and i'm wondering if anyone here has tried one out?
I've had kenlowe in the past but there are bl--dy expensive! £113 ive just been quoted on 14" fan alone!
any ideas out there on what these chinese things are like?

I got one off ebay, 12 inch for about £40. Its worked fine for a year now, and it's on all the bloody time because it's a bit too small really and my car idles at 1800rpm

cheers matt and cobblers, i just looked at rat sport and they look good but are more expensive and so i rang them- they'll only courier.(expensive) and the fella couldnt tell me how many watts they are. the ones on fleabay are 80 watss (not a lot really) and kenlowes about twice that.... its annoying being a tight fisted w--ker as i don't wanna spend loads but i wanna know more about what i'm buying.... hows about these eh?... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180269793433apparantly 7 amps (about 84 watts ..? 7 x 12...?)

odd that this subject should come up this evening, as i fitted an electric fan today scrap yards are full of them, but most i looked at for my 2.8 cortina were unuseable, due to the depth of the motor - in the end Pug 309 fitted the bill, a couple of hours with an air-saw cutting off the huge plastic surround and it fits like a glove

I've just picked up a Calibra Turbo fan for the Sierra, looks to be sturdy and pretty slim, and it was free!

neatness and ease. Its all in sight on a tidy bay so i don't mine spending a little for some thing to mount up tidy. Plus the size will be spot on. On any other car i would just pop to the local flatcap wearing scrapman and grab one off a wreck.

I'm using a zafira air con fan on the imp, absoloutley bloody huge! and £7!

I am using a Donated (cheers PaulMi6) 205 fan on mine, well when i get round to fitin it.
