OK.. Lets start at the beginning. I bought this bike early this year at what I thought was a bargain price.. turns out there was a little more that needed sorting than I thought. It was ridden daily for a few months and served me well and all that but I've come to the conclusion that I'm very much a car person, not a motorbike chap.
It's a 2003 Yamaha DT125-R in that yamaha blue colour. It's a motorbike. it makes a noise like 'ning ning ning ning' which is highly addictive.. it's a little dirty.
So what's wrong with it other than the fact it's got half as many wheels as I'd like?
There's an electrical fault that doesn't affect running but does affect lighting systems. I reckon it needs a new voltage regulator.
Some little scrote nicked it before I got it and got it to the end of the road without being able to start it. so they dented the tank and exhaust (which has a tiny wee hole in it in the expansion chamber. I'd weld it up but it's stainless)
Rear brake pads need changing because they're contaminated
Leaks oil from the gear selector seal.
Test is due to run out in the next few weeks and I can't be bothered with it in all honesty. It's a shocking attitude to take but it doesn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm like cars do..and someone who wouldn't mind chucking a hundred quid or so at a cheap bike would have a reet laugh with it.
It's located in South Somerset, just outside of Yeovil and my interweb access is limited so my number is 0781 490 3481
