The Bo11ox care home for dilapidated old heaps (reg. charity no. 1234567890) is under increasing levels of financial pressure at the moment due to rising global oil prices and a general trend of increasing numbers of oddball old bangers appearing on eBay requiring help, (no doubt related in some way to sub-prime US mortgage deals turning sour). As such I am reluctantly offering my Alfa 33 for sale, funds raised will be used to rescue and repair other old shitters so its all in a good cause.
1987 Alfa 33 1.5Ti, 7 mths ticket and 6 months (cheap) tax, one owner from new till I got it a year ago, 50-something thousand miles, new cambelts, 100% original and standard throughout. No rot! There were a few localised bits but I dug them all out and repaired them properly - thread is on here in 'readers rides'. This car drives great, its quick and sounds ace, its been totally reliable over the 6 months i've been using it (averaging 300 miles/week) and can do 35 mpg without much effort. It is easily the nicest 33 i've had, and the 105bhp 1.5 is a far nicer drive than the 112bhp 1.7. Faults: passengers elec window not working, few car park dings on the body here and there, boot carpet scruffy, alternator whines when its cold, tape player a bit rubbish, alfa check panel sometimes goes mental (normal)..... thats about it really. Could perhaps do with a good valet inside to get it looking really nice, doesnt seem quite as minty inside as it was when I bought it.
As for price i've gotta ask about £550 ono, you could argue thats strong money for an Alfa 33, but it is a great car, in good nick so i'm not going to give it away for scrap metal money. PLus there are 10 later shovel face 33's for every flat face one like this, and the flat face ones are far nicer looking.
PM me or give us a call - 07800 902396. Cheers
