Yeah the same one - the old thread dropped to the bottom of nowhere so thought i'd make another one.
Anyhoo it's a '96 Saab 9000. It's a 2.3 and it's a full pressure turbo, so it goes like the proverbial off a shovel. Its really really quiet at three figure speeds (like you can whisper - me and a mate tested this ;D ).
It's got cream leather interior which is a bit cracked on the front seats in places but there are no rips or anything like that, the front seats are 5-way electronically adjustable with a 3 position memory, and heated. It's got all the usual stuff on it, 4 electric windows, trip computer, electric mirrors, the saab sub and amp (bangin choonz bruv) - sony tape headunit and 10cd changer in the boot. Other stuff that i can't remember off the top of my head. It all works too. Oh and it's got a cobra immobiliser fitted, which also works and doesn't play up.
The important bits - MOT till 14th March, tax ends this month - but if i get asking price i'll stick half a year's on. It's on 178,000 at the moment but is going up as it's my daily at the moment. Just had an oil change (usually change the oil every 4000 miles). I have racked up over 10k in this car since i got it in march with no problems. Had the exhaust rebuilt just over a month ago, it also had a brand new serpentine belt and tensioners from saab at the same time. It failed it's last MOT last time on the NSF headlight being borked, the advisory was for the OSF headlight - both have been fixed and i've got the old mot with the car. It has a regular Saab main dealer history up to about 110k, then various saab specialists up to 140k, all goes a bit blank from there, but it runs as it should so i'm guessing someone did something right before i got it at about 165k.
Right, issues - the bonnet cable has snapped hence it is currently grille-less (access to the engine bay with a grille and no cable is a nightmare). The serpentine belt snapped due to the a/c pump seizing up, expensive fix so i have just put on a non-ac belt. The climate control still works just not when you stick it under 21 degrees C. Oh and there's a dent at the bottom of the drivers door (wasn't me, was there when i bought the car), doesn't affect anything at all so i haven't fixed it.
Oh it's had a gentle tap of the stick, still useable - doesn't scrape on anything (including big ass speedbumps we have in bournemouth). Ride isn't as great as it used to be, but meh, it looks cool(er).
(shoddy) Pics!
Oh - it's parked on a hill in this one with a load ofcurse word heavy items in the boot, it usually sits evenly with both tyres just at the level of the arch.
One of the interior:
Fraid those are the only ones i have of it. Can take some more if there's any interest.
Oh yeah - car is in bournemouth, feel free to pop round and have a gander n a poke about anytime. I'm looking for £500 of your finest readies for it, with which i'll include 6 months test.
