If it's a carbd car, won't hurt it unless it's a high compression engine. A lot of people here used to throw a gallon of Diesel in their tanks to use as some sort of fuel system cleaner.
I'd throw half the mix in the car then fill up with regular petrol. At a pound a Liter last I heard I'd be doing the same thing.

Been up and down the D road today (the local mini-motorway)and its fine!
Oh and its about ÂŁ1.15 a litre nowadays. Free motoring.... that would be good! The Aggs nearly 30 years old so by rights it should be tax exempt already but... oh well. Insurance is only about ÂŁ120 too.

i used to run my 97 fiat bravo on the stuff and it made no difference at all, but on the other hand my 86 saab 900 t16 hated the stuff and refused to run properley, if you have any bother slosh the tank with some good stuff to dilute it a bit.

I'm thinking of getting this stuff to thin down the veg oil in my tank. Any idea what happens to the stuff if it doesn't end up in people's tanks?

Why are you so far away, the diesel van runs on everything and would easily run on this stuff

Why are you so far away, the diesel van runs on everything and would easily run on this stuff I would put diesel-contaminated pez in a petrol engine no probs, but I defo wouldnt put petrol-contaminated diesel in a diesel engine, its highly likely to knacker the pump even if its one of these oldskool bosch pumps.

We used to put a couple of liters of petrol into the diesel in the good old days (when we had winters) to stop the diesel clogging at minus a lot.......now you can buy winterdiesel which has the additives already in!

Some manufacturers actually recommend 30% petrol in the winter to stop diesel gelling. Petrol in a diesel car is fine, as long as it's not so much that the pump isn't being lubricated sufficiently.

I agree with what's already said, it was common for small amounts of petrol to be added to diesel. Dunno about newer microchippy stuff though.

I was always filling my old bangers up with this stuff after me dads cabbies did it and i had to drain the tanks, i used to just pumpitstraight out of his cabs into my motors till they were full then stash the rest for later, I'm talkin about old cortinas, marina pickups, maxis, granadas etc etc, all basic engines with simple carbs.
besides, even it kills your engine after 5000 miles its probably still cheaper to fix than buying 5000 miles of fresh petrol.

Make a few quid by flogging it the high% SVO crowd. A lot of them use unleaded to thin down their 90% veg. A bit of Dino won't hurt them.
