These belong to a mates dad, NOT MINE!
Tidy 1969 ish Oxford estate in white, good interior and body, lower tailgate has a little grot, brakes sticking through standing. Tuned engine with hot cam "seen 120mph down local bypass" Great looking car. Needs minor work for MOT. £6-700
Cambridge saloon in red 1962, plate worth £500, once used for road rallying. Very solid but looks tatty as its full of dents! Needs hydraulics sorting and a little welding for MOT. £500
Cars are in Codsall, near Wolverhampton
PM me for contact details. Please no messers or dreamers. The seller isnt bothered if they go for banger racing but please, no stupid offers!
The estate atleast is far too good to race.. but meh!

"seen 120mph down local bypass" I had a morris minor that showed 90mph once on the M1, but was a bit miffed to see a 7.5 tonne truck passing me... i suspect the 120mph is a little in accurate just like my old moggie

Sorry I don't have pics and the guy lives about 35 miles away. The best thing would be to speak to the guy and view them in person. Saying that I may just "accidentally" pop in on Saturday to say hello...... and ill take my camera!
Yeah 120 does seem a little optimistic but the seller is positive its true! (whatevAr)

A Farina with a stock saloon 4.3 back axle would be turning 7100 rpm at 120. Even if it has a 3.9 MGB diff it'd be nearly 6500. Not convinced! Hope they get saved from the track.

perhaps its km/h, so about 72mph, which ought to be achievable if the engine has been heavily modified.

I once modified the manifold of my 1967 Cambridge to allow me to bolt on an MGB inlet with a 45 DCOE on it. Did 100mph down the A34- using both lanes.
I found a NOS manifold and put it back to standard after that.
Scary stuff.

PMs replied to! What alot of interest!!
IIRC its got the 3 bearing engine, rebuilt and bored out to 1800cc (or was it 2 litre?) twin SU's and a hot cam. Its possibly got the overdrive box too. I would have had this myself but I found Oxford ownership not very rewarding and VERY expensive, saying that this estate is in much better condition that the one I had.
Coaxing my Oxford over 60 was like asking it to break the sound barrier. I just cant imagine getting it to 120. It would simply disintergrate if it ever went over 80. This 120mph lark needs to be cleared up with the vendor, so don't take it as gospel just yet!

I had mine flat out, just the once. 80mph downhill on a one lane down/two lanes up with a bend halfway down, and with knackered front shocks. In the dark. So dangerous that even Pritchard and Dainton would have thought twice.
