I have just bought an Alfa 156. It isn't retro but it's kind of got a retro-ish feel to it. Anyway, the interior is leather and there's some wear on the driver's seat. I've come over all concours as the car is quite tidy otherwise. Any ideas on products I can use to improve it? There are enough guys on here with older plush stuff that any responses will be relevant to the retro world. Have some Alfa pics for your trouble. Mine: Some others:

Cheers.

The leather repair kit, mate. Beyond that I can't remember. If you phone up and ask to speak to Ben, he'll be able to tell you exactly which product it was. Sorry I can't be of more help

I always use some stuff called "shoe cream". You can buy it from those shoe repair/key cutting shops. Comes in a small pot, cost's next to nothing. It replenishes and re-dyes leather. I once bought/sold a 205 GTI with black half leather which was in a very poor scuffed/cracked state. A quick valet and a couple of goes with this stuff had it looking fab. The guy who bought the car even remarked on how good the interior looked!! ;D

One thing I have found is that a sample of the leather is required by a lot of companies in order to colour match the dye to your car - normally a swatch can be "obtained" from under neath the rear bench - where the seat belt holders go thro there is normally some excess material ;-)

They sell the cream on e-bay. You say what car and what colour interior and they give you an exact match. You can hide big cracks with it. I also use a cream that Tesco's sell for leather sofa's as a general 6 monthly thing. It takes a couple of mins to put on, but feeds the leather and makes it lovely and soft again. only cost a couple of quid too.
