Right there isnt really any reason that i want to get rid of this car i just fancy a change as i have had so many mk2s now and i fancy trying something else out. So what do you have to offer me in a swap or px(money my way)? Would LOVE another beetle.
I(and others) Value the car around the £4000 mark. The car is out of tax and test at the end of the month but i will be putting a full 12 months MOT and 6 months Tax on it for full value. Or if you want it cheaper you can have it without the fresh T&T.. its not gonna fail its had far too many new bits and good second hand bits and ive checked everthing over.
The car was originally a J plate 1.8 8v run out 90 spec model in the rare bright mettalic blue(original) which is rarer than oak green easily.
Has had a full conversion to VR6 running gear from a k plate mk3 golf so its the dizzy model(easier maintenece and cheaper if it goes wrong ). 2.8 Vr6 engine, mk3 subframe with modified rear mount, mk2 front crossmember with solid mount, mk2 wishbones and mk3 TDi anti roll bar(thicker than the mk2 gti one), Cable change conversion using the o2a gearbox, clutch is all good and the box has had an oil change, cleaned and painted orange with high temp enamal. Mk2 100mm shafts with 2 new inner CV joints and 1 new outer one. Engine is sound as, its only covered 100k which is bloody low miles for a VR6(most have done over 200k). This engine has just had the full VIP treatment, had a full service with no expense spared, new leads(good quality), new bosch plugs, new rotor arm and dizzy cap. Brand new oil filter and oil(good quality). It has also had a BRAND NEW VAG distributor as the old one was intermitantly faulty. This cost me £290.. i still have the receipt and the original box so you still have the VAG waranty with it(2 years i believe?). Also has a new genuine vag speedo sensor in the gearbox.
Exhaust is a Vr6 Stainless miltek decat section with lambda bung mated to a stainles magnex exhaust which sounds awesome.
Brakes are a combination between G60 and early Vr6. The hubs, carriers, discs(brembo), pads(pagid) are from a g60 golf and the calipers are rebuilt early VR6 items. So this gives you BIG 280mm discs on the front that just fit under the borbets, with a light mk2 this is some serious stopping power and stops on the button Coupled with its brand new rear discs, pads, bearings and 1 new caliper(as 1 was seized) the braking is absolutely 110% spot on.
Suspension are brand new coilovers that have only just been brought. At the moment they are setup for the(imo) optimal ride height somewhere between lowness and awesome handling(The wishbones and driveshafts are almost straight which is good for handling). They are nice coilovers not too hard not too soft just right and this thing handles awesome(all that about understeering VR6s is rubbish).
Bodywork as you can see is in pretty nice condition, its regularly washed and waxed properly. If i was to show it next year in my opinion it just needs a new door on the drivers side as its got a dent in it that annoys me but if your using it just as a nice car or daily driver i would just leave it(as i have). There isnt any rust on the car its VERY solid and straight. Engine bay has had some smoothing work and painted orange.
Wheels are 9x16s all round. Borbet A. The ONLY set in existance that are powdercoated chrome so they are winter proof as 1 wipe and they look like brand new again. Orange lip is painted on and looks awesome, Centre caps are the flat type. Currently out for pinstriping(the borbet script in the middle is being detailed orange to match the rims). The car will come with inphase 4x60watt headunit, fli trap 12" sub woofer, 2 JBL boxed 6x9s in the back(not in the parcel shelf), pioneer upgraded front components so sounds are sorted.
So basically this is a fully sorted car and is awesome straight out of the box in a rare colour. OH also forgot to mention it has a full and VERY comprehensive service history, all old MOTS, receipts galore, original manuals and holder etc.
Also just remembered its had MAJOR arch work under the plastics so if you really want you have the option to basically lay frame you can wind the coilies right down and TUCK.. yes TUCK 9" rims, they are all sorted for it.
Phew now thats all out the way lets get some pictures up:
Comes with Quad lamp grill and the plate is NOT included as it was a present.
So what do you have to offer me?
