Matt, 5x4.5 is indeed a common Ford and Mopar ponycar bolt pattern. I don't know what else you're asking with the photos, really. Cragar S/S wheels come in various patterns, as did Keystones. The OE Pontiac wheels are GM PCD of either 5x5 or 5x4.75 depending on model.

you keep your mits off my Cragars sunshine. Depending on how high they go I'm hoping to bag them Anyways, to answer your questions... 4.5"x5 PCD is found on... Most US Fords with 5 stud, except some Galaxies, Lincolns, Mercs with 5x5" Most Mopars (except Dart, Valiant with 5x4" and Imperials with 5x5") Pretty much all AMC/Nash/Rambler Most Jeeps A variety of J-tin (Toyota, Nissan/Datsun mostly) Early Volvos probably some other stuff Most GM stuff is 5x4.75" (usually reffered to as "Chevy pattern") or 5x5" (often called "Big car pattern" as its usually found on Cadillacs, Buicks etc) Some of the more modern stuff is 5x108mm and 5x100mm Vans and light trucks sometimes get 5x5.5" which is, from memory same as early Ford and maybe Austin Taxis! I  Keystones, I didn't see them listed. Are they current on eBay?

I believe that stock that would be 5x4" but a lot of them get converted to 5x4.5" because most of the heavy duty axles and disc brakes come in that pattern and also because the choice of wheels is 10000000 times better in 4.5"

£25 ea plus £25 P&P so £100 the pair. Forget that. I'm watching the Cragars. Close enough to collect. They will either sell for like £41.26 or some thing like twice what you can buy new ones for. eBay is like that. Last set I bought were £26 for 4.

Cragar S/S wheels are like filling your tires with water. They weigh a tonne each, almost literally. All steel, welded up center to rim, chromed, diecast cap, bloody heavy, serious unsprung weight increase. You would be shocked picking up a set if you've not ever had a chance.

I thought the Cragar S/S were composite, steel rim and a chromed alloy centre?
regardless... they can't be any heavier than the US Wheel clones of the same size and style which are defo all steel. The S/S is 21 lbs each in a 14" according to Cragar's website which helpfully doesn't tell me what they are made of because I'm sure it used to say. And these days, you know, its all style over content, all flash but no data. asshats. But those in the auction could be 30 years old and made of something completely different again. No idea what my stockers weigh either. Never weighed one.
One of the mopar guys, not Ronnie Sox, oh hells titties I can see the car now but not the name on the side, he always ran Cragars on all his race cars, but back then there was an all mag version as well I think. Ronnie Sox had Keystones I think, but the mag version of them. I think they ran Hursts for a while too.
meh.
Either way on a 2 ton barge, I doubt they'll be making much odds in the "handling" department.

Ali, mate, Cragar S/S are all steel. Weigh a shedtonne. Centers are steel, and right brittle when smacked curbside.
Ronnie, who knows what he got out the factory backdoor. ARE Torq Thrusts used to be available in magnesium too, if you knew the secret handshake....
But S/S's are all steel. Gawdawful heavy and seriously rust-prone if you let them sit outside.

Retromat - if those wheels the captain has turn out to be 5x5" rather than a size you can use I might have 'em off ya.
NASCAR look Cadillac anyone?
TB - I'm sure they are no heavier than any of the other junk old wheels I mess with.
OTOH I pulled a set of late 80s style Wolfrace 15" alloys off my Cortina and they were the heaviest wheels I have ever handled. Mad heavy. No wonder it drove like ass. I got a right sweat on putting them up in my attic/wheel museum.
