Yes, some of the commercials had the 4.5" pattern but only the bigger engine/higher spec ones. All cars were 3.75" Presumably they decided on the difference for stronger/heavier haulage possibilites.
There was a guy on here with a coupe fitted with MGB rostyles using the van bits on the front I think? Dare say you could swap the other way to depending on what you wanted.

Yeah its the 1/2 ton/575 van and PU that have the 4.5 inchers, all the cars and the 7cwt/440 vans have the 3.75 inch efforts.

Aye, 'tis me with the Rostyles.... 10cwt vans have a version of the older MGB diff and axle fitted with stronger bearings (which is under the GT...) which have 4.5" PCD and 7/16unf wheel studs, MGB's are 1/2" and Marinas are 3/8" (no, I don't know why either.....). MGB axles are actually quite narrow and the Marina fitted ones have slightly different offset to allow for this. Normal wheel offset is 13mm. All parts are interchangable; the GT has late Ital upper arms, telescopic dampers, Mk2 uprights and calipers, Van hubs and discs at the front and the MGB axle with new sping plates and anti-roll bar fittings at the back, BUT the proper van axle doesn't need a bespoke shortened prop to fit.... the only downside is a colossally high ratio of either 4.111:1 or 4.555:1 (the MG axle is 3.9:1, 1.8 axle 3.636:1 so I'm 10%-ish fast at the speedo..).
