I have a 1968 GTO buried 5 stories or so below a suburban development. But they'd have a helluva time getting that one back up! Plus, I removed all the good stuff before the "entombment ceremony". ;D Was there anyone in the trunk? This is the mother.

And good riddance. I had nearly killed myself a few times in a series of ram-air Goats (a 65, a 68, a 69, and a 69 Judge, still have the first and last of those....).

E-types were cheap cars once. I remember that. Just. Who would want an E-Type when you could buy an XJS which was so much more swanky and modern?

I'm pretty sure that E-type isn't the tow vehicle. The rather major looking commercial in front of it looks to be painted up in the same Team Whistler colors and stripes. It looks to be a fairly professionally run outfit, what with Pentastar jacketry and logos and all. At first I thought the same thing. But then I saw the matching service vehicle, and I'm fairly confident that's what they towed with. Besides, the ass-end of the Jag would be squatting hard! And likely butchering the halfshafts at every dip in the road. YMMV. Norm

its probably used to tow a light weight car, slingshot or similar, down the fireup lane. Its fairly common to see that for cars with no rads. Some people just push their own car and others use some form of car to tow it. Then fire it up back of stage and run through the water trap etc.

Page 2 of this thread...the Victor estate......Looks like a straight 6 in there . I think this car was further developed and ran a jag engine transverse mounted in the rear . It was mettalic blue, and sported the CASTROL logo painted at an angle ,so that the word appeared parralel to the ground when up on 2 wheels. Back in the day ,we regarded the builders/owners of even the most basic cars as heroes! These guys had Workshops ,and could weld!! ;D,,not in the kerb outside your house ,as was the case for most hot rodders back in the day ! My Brother built his pop,in 1964,and sprayed it in the road outside! Oh happy days!!
